About The Position

The HR Advisor role at Rio Tinto is designed to provide operational support within the People Experience team, focusing on HR generalist functions and project management. This position is integral to enhancing employee engagement and supporting managers and employees with HR systems, processes, and policies. The role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the company's HR strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent experience in HR supporting employees.
• 5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably with a minimum of 2 years in Employee Relations.
• Extensive experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate HR technical information for various audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of tasks and prioritize effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on HR systems, processes, policies, and special projects.
• Process HRIS changes and maintain employee personnel files.
• Partner with managers and HR Business Partners to support people activities and resource strategies.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of recruitment processes.
• Identify key issues and solutions to enhance people effectiveness.
• Conduct investigations into breaches of policy and procedure.
