About The Position
The Custodian position at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a part-time role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and order of various facilities, including the Conference Center and Temple Square. You will operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, including vacuums and scrubbers, and perform tasks such as mopping floors, dusting furnishings, and spot cleaning carpets. The role may also require you to handle emergency cleanups and restock supplies as needed. This entry-level position operates under direct supervision, allowing for self-directed work while adhering to strict departmental processes. The work environment may involve exposure to damp, dusty, and dirty areas, and you will be required to work with commercial-grade cleaning solvents and chemicals. The position demands physical stamina, as you will need to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements for extended periods. A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role. Additionally, understanding English for communication and safety instructions is crucial.
