About The Position

The Technical Writer shall be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for the HPC organization’s software products, services, and processes. This role requires strong writing skills, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly content. This position allows for partial telework.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years’ experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Familiar with the Linux CLI including understanding of terminology used to provide related documentation.
  • Experience using technical writing tools such as MS Office Tool Suite, MadCap Flare, and Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience implementing complex documentation practices within a software development environment.
  • Experience using Markup languages including HTML, XML, and Markdown.
  • Experience creating technical documentation for a wide audience.
  • Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience with Git Source Control System.
  • A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required.
  • Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
