About The Position

The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large-scale multi-tenant Kubernetes “on-prem” cluster which serves as the foundation for mission-critical applications across multiple tenants. In this role, the Software Integration Engineer shall collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

Requirements

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment or the individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience or an industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
  • Experience with Linux CLI
  • Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads, networking, ingress, storage, and performance
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Demonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Helm and Ansible
  • Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
  • Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
