About The Position

The HPC Sales Specialist for Financial Services at Google Cloud is responsible for driving sales of high-performance computing solutions within the financial services sector. This role involves developing new business pipelines, building executive relationships, and collaborating with product management to enhance business strategies. The specialist acts as a trusted advisor to sales leadership and account teams, focusing on key accounts and influencing long-term strategic direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or strategic account management at a B2B software company.
• 5 years of experience selling high performance computing (HPC) solutions.
• Experience within the Financial Services market, including FSI Grid workloads, business trends, compliance and regulatory, and ISV interdependencies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working for a cloud hyperscaler in a senior sales and business development role.
• Experience working for an ISV providing Grid Computing orchestration tools.
• Experience building executive relationships with top Financial Service customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop a new business pipeline within curated sets of key accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership and Account teams within our Startup business units.
• Work closely with the Product Management team to develop business strategies to increase our reach within the Financial Services industry.
• Build and maintain executive customer relationships.
• Influence long-term strategic direction and gather 360 feedback.
• Develop strategies for accelerating the business cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Gather, manage or direct a virtual team during the business cycle.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
