About The Position

AEITS, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HPC Generalist System Engineer , Level 6, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. I n this position, the HPC Generalist System Engineer must have strong HPC (High-Performance Computing) architecture knowledge . Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland area ~~~~ All work is on-site, in-person in a SCIF environment. This is not a hybrid or remote position. Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a polygraph. Certifications: None Required. Your Mission : Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, with a focus on: Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal. Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement. Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE strong HPC (High-Performance Computing) architecture knowledge.
  • US Citizen.
  • Active Top Secret SCI security clearance with appropriate polygraph.
  • Meets or exceeds years of required experience depending upon formal education level. See Education
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience OR A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience. OR A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience. OR A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting Facilitation ­­­­­­-coordinates different delivery schedules and understands where we are at each, documents the minutes and takes/monitors actions as they arrive.
  • Schedule Coordination -Understands the order of events (what needs to happen when) and coordinates the activities, schedules travel of several different vendors along with USG activities.
  • Shipment Coordination -Coordinates and monitors several shipments from "1 each" items (power cords, fiber optics, etc.) to major shipments (vendor deliveries of several racks that must be coordinated with site).
  • Inventory Control -Helps to develop inventory, barcoding and storage strategies for program and spare parts.
  • Facilities Planning -To a lesser amount, assisting to bridge facilities planning between the IC customer, sites, and the program about machine room work that needs to occur.
  • Sustainment Planning -While not in the direct scope of the position, there is some sustainment coordination helping with the workflows and processes for logistics and storage.
  • Security Management -Working with Mission Security Officers (MSOs) to develop a comprehensive security posture for the program to include, but not limited to: Personnel Security Facility Security (both USG and Government) Supply Chain Management Security. Vendor Security. Information Security. Transportation/Shipping Security.
