Job Description: Job Family Definition: Provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company’s products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc. Management Level Definition: Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Requirements

  • Prior factory and/or product experience in roles such as Engineering, Test, Planning, Procurement, etc
  • Knowledge of some of the factory systems/tools used in setting up, building, testing, and supporting the products that flow through Chippewa Falls
  • An understanding of basic BOM structures
  • Good communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience.
  • US Citizen
  • Work will require you to be at the Chippewa Falls factory
  • Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This hire will be a member of the Engineering and Enablement (E&E) team in Chippewa Falls responsible for managing NPIs and Early Ship deals for the Cray/ProLiant AI family of products.
  • You will be providing leadership and/or support to the NPI E&E launch teams covering the NPI, Order validation/management, site enablement, and customer intent deliverables for HPE’s ProLiant XD products (AI).
  • NPIs are typically 4-9 months but can stretch out to 18 months +.
  • In this role you will manage and/or provide oversight into HPE Operations E&E and fulfillment activities including factory scheduling and site readiness, while ensuring clear cross function communications to facilitate product order completion on schedule within targeted product goals.
  • You will be working with engineering management in support of early sku creation and management, BOM and Product configuration validation, and engineering change management for the factory.
  • In-depth training will be provided for core responsibilities.
  • Work can involve communications with account teams, R&D engineering/management and HPE Operations key stakeholders such as planning, procurement, NPI Program management, Test, etc..
