Job Summary: The position is responsible for administering various aspects of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, including re-certifications, admissions, transfers, and terminations. This role supports Affordable Housing initiatives by ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and agency policies through accurate documentation, participant communication, and data management.

Requirements

  • Successfully pass the Determination of Adjusted Income Exam and Rent Calculation Exam within 90 days of hire.
  • Certification by CVR in the Housing Choice Voucher Proficiency within 90 days of hire.
  • Attend seminars and/or training as required.
  • Bachelors degree PLUS one (1) year of previous experience working with the public in a Housing Choice Voucher Program or similar relevant experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience working with economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and/or families in similar capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Complete annual and interim re-certifications, new admissions, transfers, port-ins/port-outs, special program referrals (as assigned), terminations, and rent adjustments for HCV Program participants.
  • Notify participants and property owners of changes and outcomes related to interim re-certifications.
  • Collect and verify required documentation such as income and household information to determine continued program eligibility.
  • Schedule and conduct re-certification appointments and interviews with participants.
  • Track and monitor participant relocations, lease terminations, and other housing transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the appropriate databases.
  • Conduct participant briefings to explain HUD regulations and agency administrative plans.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate weekly and program-related reports.
