About The Position

The Housing & Logistics Senior Specialist supports the Housing & Logistics Manager in overseeing the daily operations of academy housing and related functions for approximately 450 flight cadets residing in academy housing. This role is responsible for assisting in the coordination of housing assignments, move-ins, move-outs, and inspections, while ensuring a positive residential experience for cadets. The Senior Specialist will also support key logistics functions including transportation coordination, travel bookings, and housing supply shipments. The position plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency across approximately 200 apartments while helping to resolve resident concerns, managing cadet movement processes, and managing relationships with key partners at the accommodations.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and Teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  • Experience managing conflict resolution or mediation situations.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Solutions-driven, always seeking ways to turn a negative into a positive.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing housing operations across 200+ academy apartment units housing for 450+ residents.
  • Coordinate cadet housing assignments, move-ins, and move-outs.
  • Conduct or coordinate unit inspections and ensure housing standards are maintained.
  • Address and resolve resident concerns, including roommate mediation and housing-related conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate housing records and tracking systems.
  • Assist with transportation coordination for cadets.
  • Coordinate travel bookings related to cadet needs.
  • Support housing supplies logistics for accommodation needs.
  • Ensure timely communication with relevant departments regarding logistics updates.
  • Assist in team cross-training and task delegation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, lease discussions, and budgeting projects when required.
  • Balance urgent operational needs with long-term operational planning.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to support the team’s global mission, vision, and daily operations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with prospective and incoming students and coordinate housing needs with the Sales team.
  • Maintain proactive communication with prospective and current students.
  • May be asked to work at housing facilities in addition to on campus. Evenings and weekends will be required on a periodic basis.
  • Support international student processing requirements, including FTSP and the Student Exchange Visitor Program.
