Housing Locator – Community-Based Role Are you someone who loves being out in the community, building connections, and making a real difference in people’s lives? Join our team as a Housing Locator, where you'll help individuals find safe, stable housing—and support them in staying housed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (in social work, public planning, business, urban planning, or similar) plus 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with community resources, government programs, and support systems.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with a professional presence.
  • Background in mental health or human services is a plus.
  • Must meet driving requirements if the role involves transportation.

  • Experience in mental health or human services.

Responsibilities

  • Help adults who’ve experienced long-term homelessness and are living with mental illness or substance use challenges.
  • Work closely with landlords to build and maintain strong housing partnerships.
  • Educate and support landlords.
  • Help resolve issues between tenants and landlords.
  • Ensure clients are housed in safe, appropriate environments.
  • Receive training to become a certified housing inspector.
  • Spend time out in the field, visiting homes, supporting clients directly, and traveling to meet with landlords.
