About The Position
American Financial Solutions (AFS) is seeking a Housing Intake Specialist to join our team in Bremerton, WA. This full-time position offers a salary of $20 per hour and is designed for individuals who are empathetic, motivated, and driven to provide exceptional service to clients. AFS has been a nonprofit credit counseling agency since 1999, helping over 450,000 clients repay more than $9 billion in debt. The Housing Intake Specialist will play a crucial role in managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and emails, ensuring that consumer applications for assistance are complete and organized. In this role, you will maintain master billing and tracking spreadsheets, as well as a document file system and data storage system. It is essential to accurately document and secure all pertinent client information in AFS's client management systems. The ideal candidate will deliver best-in-class service to each client in a professional, compassionate, and responsible manner while meeting monthly performance goals. Training will be provided, making this position suitable for entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the organization. The successful candidate will possess a positive can-do attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional multi-tasking abilities, and strong mathematical and analytical skills. A background in medical reception or paralegal work is a plus, but not required. This position offers a family-friendly schedule with no weekend work, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
