About The Position

The Housing Inspector position is responsible for conducting inspections of housing units to ensure compliance with health and housing codes. This role involves systematic surveys and inspections to promote housing hygiene and the conservation of dwellings. The inspector will investigate reported violations, prepare written reports, and consult with property owners on code violations and corrective measures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with two years of college and two years of professional experience in real estate, construction, housing hygiene, or sanitation inspection; OR a high school diploma with five years of professional experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of housing units for code violations.
