Under the general direction of the Section Chief Staff Services Manager II, the incumbent independently provides expertise, research and analysis on technical aspects of the programs and policies of the Division of State Financial Assistance (DSFA). The incumbent functions as an advisor and lead technical staff to assist with monitoring and compliance of the complex projects and providing data and reporting for the Asset Management and Compliance (AMC) Fiscal Section. Please Note: A Statement of Qualifications must be submitted along with your application in order to be considered for this position. Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances and/or time-periods, at the sole discretion of the Department. Telework-eligible applicants must reside in California. Headquarter location will be designated based on the selected candidate's primary residence location. This is subject to change if HCD's criteria is met. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

Requirements

  • You will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.

  • Experience in finance, fiscal management, budgeting, audits, and analysis.
  • Experience in real estate, asset management, property management, and/or accounting.
  • Experience analyzing Operating Budgets and Audits for Multifamily Housing Properties.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, government codes, and regulations.
  • Experience working effectively with governmental agencies and private sector organizations.
