About The Position

This is a Limited Term position that may be up to 12 months and may be extended to 24 months or become Permanent at a later date. The incumbent independently performs varied and technically difficult assignments under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I. Responsibilities include day-to-day asset management activities for various rental housing programs and/or owner loan programs, as well as collecting and evaluating information relating to the condition and occupancy of properties receiving financial assistance from Department programs. The position is located in Sacramento and requires up to 20% travel with overnight stays throughout the state.

Requirements

• Must maintain a valid California Driver's License (CDL) and a safe driving record.
• Experience in property management and/or real estate functions.
• Knowledge of Federal, HUD, and State Affordable Housing Programs.
• Experience analyzing, interpreting, and implementing program regulations and guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and subsidized housing database programs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience conducting property inspections and completing compliance reports.
• Experience evaluating and analyzing reports, such as rental income calculations and financial statements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
