About The Position

The Houseperson supports the Housekeeping team in maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and readiness of guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures housekeeping operations run efficiently by assisting Room Attendants, maintaining linen supplies, and delivering exceptional service aligned with Hyatt brand standards.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred (not required).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Basic communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate Hyatt’s purpose of care by delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and respect in all interactions.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Room Attendants by delivering linen, towels, and guest supplies.
  • Remove soiled linen, trash, and debris from guest room corridors and service areas.
  • Ensure housekeeping carts and storage areas are fully stocked and organized.
  • Support deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Clean and maintain public areas including hallways, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Monitor cleanliness standards throughout the property and respond promptly to spills or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all service areas meet Hyatt cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests such as extra towels, amenities, or supplies.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional, and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborate with front desk and housekeeping team to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Transport linen and supplies between floors and storage areas.
  • Assist with room readiness to support timely check-ins.
  • Follow daily task lists and supervisor instructions to meet operational goals.
