About The Position

The Houseperson position at The Hotel Hershey involves performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in guest areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This part-time role is essential for maintaining the hotel's refined elegance and signature services, contributing to the overall guest experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam.
• Professional guest service attitude and well-groomed appearance.
• Self-motivated and capable of working alone.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions, both written and verbal.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment such as carpet shampoo machines and floor scrubbers.
• Visual ability to meet high cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine cleaning in guest areas at The Hotel Hershey and The Villas.
• Clean sundecks and porches.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and corridors.
• Scrub and wax floors.
• Clean elevators and restrooms.
• Collect trash.
• Deliver and remove cots, cribs, or other special guest needs.
• Clean air vents/lights in out of reach areas.
• Make minor repairs.
• Move furniture.
• Unload delivery trucks.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
