SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance of all hotel linens and for expediting the room cleaning process by stripping linens, removing glasses and dishes for washing, sorting laundry in laundry, and picking up linens. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and people. Performs excellent guest service at all time. Stores folded clean linens, towels and sheets in appropriate areas. Helps expedite room preparation for next guest by stripping linens and placing them outside guest room for pickup. Picks up linens outside dirty rooms, puts in laundry cart, and takes to laundry room.. Removes room glasses and cups for washing to dishwashing area and returns them clean to the rooms. Adjusts and performs minor repairs to cleaning equipment. Sorts laundry in laundry room. Provides extra towels, sheets, pillows and /or rollaway to guest room upon the request of the front desk. Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record. Performs any reasonable request made by management.
