JOB DESCRIPTION- House person Summary/Objective To perform a combination of tasks which maintains the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive experience Essential Functions 1. Greets and welcomes guests. 2. Cleans and maintains all public, storage, and back of the house areas. 3. Cleans guest rooms upon request by management. 4. Handle and completes all guests’ requests immediately. 5. Dust, vacuums, mops, all public areas including hallways and breakfast area 6. Removes trash throughout the day in all common areas including outside 7. Assist room attendants on the floor with supplies when instructed 8. Assist laundry in folding and washing 9. Cleans and maintains public restrooms throughout the day 10. Function as maintenance when maintenance person is absence. 11. Follow all OSHA policies and guidelines. 12. Insure the safety of our guest’s property assets; never open door for guest’s who forgot their key (redirect them back to the front desk) Competencies 1. Customer/Client Focus. 2. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to housekeeping supervisor, or front office manager, and general manager. Work Environment this job operates in a hotel / public environment. This role routinely uses standard machinery equipment such as carpet extractor, vacuum, Ozone machine, and laundry equipment. Physical Demands the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; uses hands, or feel, and reach with hands and arms able to lift 30-50 lbs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work this is a full-time or part time position, regularly requiring long hours and frequent weekend work. Travel some travel needed for brand certification..
