About The Position

Houseman Job Description Position Title: Houseman Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor Position Summary The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of public areas, back-of-house spaces, and supporting the housekeeping team to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role plays a key part in upholding brand standards and ensuring efficient daily operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Frequent use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Ability to move carts, furniture, and supplies
Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays
Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards
Deliver friendly and courteous service to all guests
Support the hotel’s commitment to quality and guest satisfaction in alignment with Hilton brand standards

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and meeting spaces
Assist Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest rooms and housekeeping carts
Remove trash and debris from guest floors, public areas, and service areas
Clean and organize housekeeping storage rooms, closets, and linen areas
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust assigned areas regularly
Respond promptly to guest requests such as additional amenities or items delivery
Set up and break down meeting rooms as directed (tables, chairs, equipment)
Support laundry operations as needed (transporting linens, stocking shelves)
Maintain cleanliness of exterior entryways and assist with light groundskeeping if required
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to management
Follow all hotel safety, security, and cleanliness standards
