About The Position

The Bald Head Island Club is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Houseman to support our Events team. This position plays a key role in the setup, breakdown, and overall presentation of weddings, banquets, member events, and private functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-focused, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Essential Responsibilities Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, décor, etc.) Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and event-ready Assist with moving equipment and furniture as needed Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and back-of-house spaces Respond promptly to event team requests during functions Support banquet and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution Follow safety guidelines and proper lifting procedures Qualifications Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Strong work ethic and positive attitude Team player with good communication skills Previous hospitality or event experience preferred but not required Schedule Part-time hours based on event schedule. Evening and weekend availability is required.
