About The Position

Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a safe, orderly, and clean environment free of obstacles and odors within a long-term care facility. The role involves ensuring cleanliness in public and common areas, as well as resident rooms and bathrooms, while adhering to safety measures and maintaining equipment and supplies in a sanitary manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt, or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean, and orderly manner.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
• Exhibit excellent customer skills and a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
