About The Position

Now hiring for Guest Room Attendants and Room House Attendants who provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. This position is at the Midwest's premier resort destination, featuring two historic grand hotels nestled in the Hoosier National Forest of southern Indiana. Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses.
  • Must be able to work on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be knowledgeable and familiar with all aspects of custodial service.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Excellent people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.
  • Inspects room linens before placing in rooms and returns below standard pieces to Housekeeping.
  • Utilizes equipment, supplies and guest amenities properly.
  • Cleans and sanitizes guest bathrooms thoroughly.
  • Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds following the property standards and those set forth in the Green Program daily.
  • Cleans rooms, balconies and room furnishings.
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and reports to Floor Supervisor or the Housekeeping Office.
  • Follows all training procedures set forth in the Bloodborne Pathogens program.
  • Follows through on lost and found procedures (for example anything found in rooms that are vacant must be turned into Security directly).
  • Practices safety standards at all times.
  • Responsible for care of equipment.
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms.
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times.
  • Performs other duties as reasonably requested by management.
