About The Position

This position is responsible for general housekeeping functions consisting of cleaning, dusting, sweeping, wet mopping, trash removal, restrooms, wiping cafeteria tables, cleaning glass windows, doors and all other job functions to be completed on an ongoing basis through the course of the shift. All assigned work duties are to be completed prior to the end of shift while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Applicant must maintain 6.5 attendance points or less
Applicant may not have any disciplines within the last 6 months of job posting
Applicant may not have had a successful job bid within the last 6 months (unless it is a newly established job)

Responsibilities

To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Ensure all areas included but not limited to: Processing plant cafeteria, administrative areas, Live Hang breakroom, Training rooms, Locker room, Outdoor patio/break area, grounds, and any other area assigned by supervisor are swept, cleaned, and kept sanitary at all times.
Push large trash combos
Operate heavy equipment floor buffer/wax machine, trash compactor
Wet mopping large areas such as the entire cafeteria
Cleaning indoor/outdoor windows and doors
Carry/dump mop bucket full of water weighing approximately 40lbs.
Stay on feet, working above shoulder level, bending, and twisting during entire shift
Lift up to 50 pounds
Work flexible hours and up to 12hrs per day and weekends in case of absences
Have basic knowledge on the use of janitorial chemicals such as degreasers, soaps, bleach, etc.
Have good communication and people skills
Follow direction and have the initiative to work with little supervision
Any other duties assigned by Manager.
