About The Position

The Housekeeping & Warehouse Cleaning Associate at Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the showroom and designated areas. This part-time role involves performing various housekeeping tasks to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for guests, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and appearance.
• Ability to take direction and work efficiently.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning products for different surfaces.

• Prior related experience and/or training preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of floor and non-floor areas including sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Maintain sanitary conditions of restrooms and breakrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles daily and practice safe disposal methods.
• Clean glass entry doors and post safety signs for potential hazards.
• Report maintenance and environmental issues to management immediately.
• Conduct walk-around safety checks and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in training and development of new associates.
• Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge and skills.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
