About The Position
Welcome to Max Fitness in Augusta, SC! Our cleaning team members are vital members of the gym staff team, ensuring that the facility is clean and meets the expectations of members. Housekeepers will be responsible for any combination of light cleaning duties on the gym floor, locker rooms, and offices. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and hygienic environment for all gym users. Housekeepers work under the direction of the General Manager and Front Desk Manager, contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility. The responsibilities of a Housekeeping Team Member include a variety of tasks aimed at keeping the gym in top condition. This includes cleaning outside glass, wiping down equipment, doors, and floors as necessary, and emptying trash receptacles daily. Housekeepers are also responsible for sweeping and mopping floors, stairwells, and staircases, as well as cleaning carpets and floors as needed. Additionally, they will change light bulbs as necessary and ensure that all fitness equipment, bathrooms (including tile, tub, walls, and sink), mirrors, and glass are cleaned thoroughly. Dusting furniture and fixtures daily is also part of the job, along with cleaning the management office and lobby floors. Housekeepers will maintain the locker room by sweeping, mopping, removing trash, dusting, and cleaning out lint. They are expected to buff the locker and lobby room floor, maintain and organize mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, and other equipment/supplies in good condition in designated storage areas. Picking up debris on carpets and vacuuming carpets is also part of the role. Housekeepers will replace or add required supplies in locker rooms, stock carts with linens and supplies, and organize the cart as trained and required. Cleaning vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily and reporting maintenance problems in an accurate and timely manner are also essential duties. We look forward to meeting you!
