Responsible for supervising housekeeping functions on assigned shift to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of hotel rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, hallways, work and storage areas according to established standards, as well as to achieve effective and efficient supervision of team members and financial resources. Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by any Cactus Petes entity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver License required.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills are a must; friendly, outgoing and service oriented personality.
  • Two years of Hotel housekeeping experience or relative field preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning and emotional intelligence.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, monitor, and develop team members for improved performance.
  • Issuing timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offering guidelines and resources to achieve goals.
  • Track team member’s attendance in accordance with approved attendance-tracking system.
  • Responsible for personnel needs (training, evaluating) of the housekeeping department.
  • Maintain an inspection program for all assigned public areas and guest rooms.
  • Maintain work order system to ensure proper maintenance to guest rooms.
  • Maintain control of linen rooms, storerooms, and cleaning supplies ensuring adequate security and supply.
