Job Summary: Responsible for the organization of cleanliness and maintenance on property. This role involves active participation in housekeeping operations to ensure the property meets brand and company standards.

Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years of previous housekeeping management or related experience.
  • Leadership: Ability to directly supervise a team of 20+ people. Skilled in motivating staff and maintaining a cohesive team.
  • Communication: Competent in written and verbal English communication. Must be able to hear and understand English in a professional setting.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Technical/Mental Skills: Computer knowledge. Ability to handle pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of laundry operations.

Responsibilities

  • Shift Coordination & Scheduling: Manage Housekeeping teams to efficiently complete daily departmental objectives.
  • Assign daily work tasks to Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry staff.
  • Assist the GM in monitoring team productivity to align with labor cost goals.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Conduct regular physical counts of linens, supplies, and equipment.
  • Identify specific furnishing and product needs and provide feedback/order requests to management.
  • Ensure quality control and proper care of all inventory to minimize waste.
  • Quality Assurance: Actively participate in all operations, including room cleaning, inspections, deep cleaning, and laundry.
  • Inspect grooming and conduct standards for all housekeeping associates.
  • Maintain high standards for all managed product types through superior cleaning techniques.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Ensure compliance with safety programs, identifying and correcting hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Work closely with Engineering by completing work orders for repairs and reporting guest concerns.
