About The Position

Cheeca Lodge & Spa, a luxury 4-diamond resort in the Florida Keys, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and support our housekeeping team. This hourly, hands-on leadership role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee housekeeping staff, monitor daily operations, and actively assist in maintaining the impeccable presentation and comfort our guests expect.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold luxury cleanliness standards.
Ability to train, lead, and motivate a team while holding staff accountable.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation regulations, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and monitor the performance of housekeeping team members to ensure resort cleanliness standards are met.
Conduct daily room inspections and public area checks to ensure all assigned areas meet quality and cleanliness expectations.
Assign and adjust workloads to ensure efficient use of staff and resources during peak times.
Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to ensure all staff follow proper cleaning procedures.
Ensure that cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.
Communicate with the housekeeping team and front desk to address room readiness, special requests, and guest concerns.
Uphold safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
Ensure team members adhere to uniform, grooming, and professional appearance standards.
Address any maintenance or repair needs by promptly reporting issues to the Engineering team.
Assist in training new housekeeping staff and reinforcing proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Perform hands-on cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
Ensure guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and guest-ready.
Monitor and restock housekeeping carts, linen rooms, and supply closets.
Assist with laundry operations when necessary, including sorting, folding, and distribution.
Respond promptly to guest requests, such as extra linens, toiletries, or housekeeping services.
Assist in deep-cleaning projects and ensure proper sanitation in compliance with resort standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment for housekeeping staff.
