About The Position

Perform supervisory duties in the care, cleaning, and general housekeeping of Agency buildings and/or residences. Essential Responsibilities: Recruit, supervise, coach, evaluate, and monitor assigned direct reports and ensure staff are following Agency/Department policies and procedures. Train housekeeping staff, as requested, in the use of cleaning solvents, chemicals and equipment so they can respond appropriately to cleaning/contamination issues as they arise. Maintain quality standards to ensure compliance with state licensing and operating standards. Perform housekeeping service work to meet specific performance obligations. Partner with Maintenance Manager to manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies. Report and initiate actions, immediately, to correct any noted cross-contamination issues or problems. Partner with Maintenance Manager(s) and staff to ensure quality housekeeping and maintenance of assigned facility(ies). Ensure proper maintenance and care of housekeeping equipment. Report safety and repair issues to property maintenance department. Communicate with contractors as requested. Attend staff meeting and in-service training as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School education or GED
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in housekeeping or related field
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred
