About The Position

Assist in the direction of all housekeeping activities ensuring compliance with hotel standards of products and services. Inspect assigned areas in order to provide feedback to management and employees on the cleanliness and maintenance of those areas against standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Visually inspect guest rooms, guest areas and employee areas and assess compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security. Update room status upon completion of inspection. Report, as directed, any observed deviations to established standards to the Housekeeping Director or Supervisor. Communicate throughout the day with Front Office and other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction. Take requested inventories of furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies. Ensure that both carts and linen/supply closets are kept clean, neat and stocked according to departmental guidelines. Submit all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms, corridors and public space areas to the Engineering Department immediately. Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards. Evaluate housekeeping practices and provide feedback for improvement. Monitor floor care procedures to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness. Collaborate with housekeeping staff to address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections. Train staff on proper cleaning techniques and standards as needed. Must be able to read and write Basic English in order to complete forms such as a room status report. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess basic computer skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to provide clean direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates. Ability to make sound business decisions and demonstrate good judgment. Ability to effectively supervise subordinates. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Requirements
