About The Position

The Study at University City is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to support and mentor our Housekeeping team. This role oversees the daily operations of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry while ensuring a clean, comfortable, and consistent guest experience aligned with Study Hotels brand standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor partners closely with the Director of Housekeeping to lead team performance, maintain quality standards, and support efficient daily operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a full-service hotel; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and hotel departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform indoor and outdoor rounds in non-extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations including room attendants, public areas, and laundry team.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Assign and manage daily boards and workloads for housekeeping team members.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure accountability and consistent performance.
  • Maintain inventory levels for linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies.
  • Support and implement cleaning and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Partner with other departments to support hotel operations and guest needs.
  • Assist in scheduling and staffing to align with occupancy and business levels.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on service and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
