About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor manages, trains, and inspects the performance of the Housekeeping Attendants ensuring that all procedures are completed to Graton Resort & Casino's standards. Responsible for planning, organizing and developing the daily operations of assigned floor(s) or area in accordance with standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Able to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work.
  • Well-developed inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Able to make progress and/or handle multiple assignments under time constraints.
  • Provide support to team and delegate job duties.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years management experience, thorough knowledge of Housekeeping responsibilities and functions.
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
  • Responsible for supporting the housekeeping attendant on the guest room floors, public areas, and linen.
  • Assign daily rooms "status report" for opening and closing the house.
  • Supervise status board operators to ensure all available rooms are cleaned and any discrepancies are reconciled, paying special attention to all VIP Guests and requests.
  • Responsible for lost and found process.
  • Monitor Housekeeping Attendants to ensure highest productivity levels.
  • Enhance all lines of communication among the housekeeping team.
  • Maintain strict radio control.
  • Maintain strict control of all housekeeping equipment and inventory.
  • Monitor and track all heavy cleaning projects (drapes, carpets, furniture, mattress flipping, and general cleaning).
  • Perform room inspections and evaluate the performance of Housekeeping Attendants.
  • Counsel Team Members in positive constructive manner as necessary.
  • Conduct interviews of all candidates for available positions.
  • Develop, evaluate, and recommend candidates for promotions.
  • Ensure all Team Members successfully complete training in OSHA regulations.
  • Complete Team Member evaluations as set forth and established by Company.
