The supervisor will coordinate schedules, manage inventory of cleaning supplies, and conduct regular inspections to maintain high-quality service. Additionally, the role requires training and mentoring staff to promote a productive and positive work environment. Ultimately, the Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that all areas under their responsibility are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the reputation and smooth operation of the establishment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping or custodial services, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment usage.
  • Ability to read and understand safety and operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Certification in hospitality management or related field.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage conflict effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping team members to enhance performance, teamwork, and adherence to procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests, resolve issues promptly, and support overall operational goals.
