Responsible for the Opening and Closing of the Housekeeping Department. Printing and assigning job duties for Room Attendants, Houseman and Custodian staff. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of Resort Guestrooms, hallways and landings in accordance with guest expectations and Resort Standards. Conduct daily written inspections of guestrooms. Communicate daily with the Front Desk in order to expedite guest check-in’s. Responsibilities Assist in the training, development and motivation of all room attendants, Houseman and Custodians Closely monitor all employees’ performance to ensure productivity and adherence to resort policy and procedure. Ensure employees’ are in proper uniform and are up to personal appearance standards Conduct daily written inspections on guest rooms Assist with daily stand-up meetings to review essential daily information Report all equipment deficiencies to Engineering in a timely manner Assist with monthly and quarterly linen, terry, guest room supplies and amenities inventories Follow proper Lost and Found procedures Inspect and communicate efficiently and effectively all due our guestrooms to the Front Desk by 1:00 p.m. daily Help with daily inspection program and document results accordingly Create a positive safety culture within the department and address safety issues daily Actively participate in the Safety Committee Support the training process Support Engineering as needed especially as it pertains to equipment preventative maintenance programs Support the Housekeeping Department and all other departments as required Requires the ability to provide “hands-on” supervisory responsibilities and to effectively motivate all staff Assist in cleaning guest rooms or public areas during high occupancy levels or staff shortages Any and all reasonable requests of management
