Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in housekeeping, in senior housing preferred
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
  • Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
  • Communicates chemical, supply and equipment needs to Executive Director.
  • Maintains required records; notifies the Maintenance Director on observed maintenance issues and/or repairs needed.
  • Implements cleaning schedules of Residents’ apartments, laundry, kitchen and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks.
  • Performs housekeeping tasks, as assigned.
  • Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
  • Observes problems, concerns and issues observed with Resident apartments, the Community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
  • Observes changes in Resident status, needs or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
  • Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately
