About The Position

Position supervises AM and PM housekeepers, houseman in maintaining the maintenance/sanitation of guest rooms, corridors, backlandings and elevator foyers. Recommends and implements basic procedural changes.

Must be able to walk, climb stairs
Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, twist and turn

Must be able to hear, talk, smell
Must be able to lift & carry up to 50 pounds
Majority of duties performed indoors. Noise level moderate

Responsibilities

Supervise the work of housekeeping staff, ensuring rooms and common area are cleaned and maintained to the required standards.
Inspect all assigned guest rooms including special clean items, safety issues and equipment maintenance on a daily basis.
Trains and monitors housekeepers on their daily responsibilities to ensure that house rules and the housekeeping procedures/standards of the NYP, are understood and followed.
Updates Housekeeping Management on the progress and status of each area of responsibility.
Completes all required forms and reports (ie, room status, discrepancy, late check outs etc)
Reports safety hazards, theft of room items, equipment or fixtures requiring repair to Housekeeping management.
Teaches and monitors proper handling of guest and their requests.
Inspects vending areas, storerooms, stairwells, foyers, corridors and guest rooms for cleanliness on daily bases.
Notifies laundry of linen requirements necessary to maintain the par levels.
Responds and complies with all the guest requests, issues and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
Inspects all VIP arrival and in house guest rooms in assigned section on a daily basis.
Gives a detailed report of your assigned section at the end of the shift.
Turns in all keys and radios.
