About The Position

The position involves assisting with the management and operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. The role promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two years prior housekeeping experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist Executive Housekeeper in directing the activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments and furnishing exemplary daily cleaning service to guest rooms and all other areas of the hotel
  • Assist in the preparation of work schedules for staff based on projected occupancy
  • Substitute in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper; communicating with all other departments
  • Provide guest room status reports to Front Desk, Executive Housekeeper, and General Manager
  • Inspect premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to assure employees maintain the property's superior standards of housekeeping
  • Communicate all maintenance and repair needs to appropriate individuals
  • Help maintain an inventory of guest and housekeeping supplies and linen, ordering replacement of supplies and equipment as needed
  • Create a service environment focused on the guest, with a passion for high standards in cleanliness; responds promptly to customer needs
  • Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures
  • Assist in the training and motivation of housekeeping staff
  • Perform room attendant duties, when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
