About The Position

Young Life is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of camp facilities. This role involves quality control, management, and training of work crew housekeepers, and performing miscellaneous duties as needed. The supervisor will be responsible for inspecting all assigned buildings, coordinating cleaning efforts, and maintaining supplies. The position requires physical labor, including lifting and cleaning in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate will embody the Christian mission of Young Life and be prepared to minister to guests and staff.

Requirements

• High school education with the ability to read and write English proficiently.
• Three to five years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor in a large hotel or camp property.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds of linens and supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with standards of cleanliness and proper cleaning procedures for all assigned buildings.
• Inspect camper dorm hallways, bathrooms, porches, lounges, and walkways daily.
• Consult with work crew bosses to arrange correction of deficiencies.
• Check dorm cleaning supply closets for neatness and adequacy of supplies.
• Inspect the dining hall daily for cleanliness and supply stocking.
• Train work crew housekeepers in partnership with work crew bosses.
• Fill in for work crew housekeepers on their day off.
• Assist in thoroughly cleaning dorms on camper changeover days.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Hospitality Assistant.
