About The Position

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Marvella is seeking a Part Time Housekeeper/Housekeeping Services Assistant for its team. This is a weekend position, every Saturday and Sunday. Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager. Marvella is part of a master-planned community offering senior housing, retail/commercial businesses, and market rate apartments, centrally located in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul. The community provides easy access to retail shops and dining while still being close to nature with beautiful views of the Mississippi river. This new community includes a variety of living options and supportive services to provide older adults choices to live their story, today and every day! Requirements

  • Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Must possess the ability to take direction, prioritize duties, and organize work with others.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and assure uncompromising levels of cleanliness in work areas, buildings, and grounds.
  • General cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, polishing furniture/fixtures, waste removal, stocking supplies, cleaning windows.
  • Collect laundry from resident rooms and designated areas, sort, label, wash, dry, and distribute linens and resident personal clothing per assigned schedule.
  • Iron articles as required, inspect laundry and linen, inform supervisor of replacement needs for communication with residents/families.
  • Ensure that housekeeping and laundry supplies are replenished in work areas.
  • Ensure that equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of each shift.
