About The Position

Opportunity: Housekeeping Runner Perform laundry cleaning activities in accordance with established brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. Fulfill and deliver all guest’s requests with the proper presentation. Assists Housekeeping by removing the trash and soiled linen from the floors. Clean and maintain public hotel areas according to established brand/ hotel guest service and sustainability standards. Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Carrying or lifting 50lbs.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Housekeeping Office and PBX team at start of shift.
  • Sort, count, and pre-treat soiled linen in preparation for laundering.
  • Load and unload washers and dryers.
  • Employ proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Fold, store and distribute towels and linens.
  • Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
  • Fulfill and deliver guest requests with the proper presentation.
  • Inventory. resupply guest room supplies, maintain cleanliness of all linen closets, housekeeping storage closets and empty trash daily
  • Offer assistance to guest when requested or needed.
  • Report any maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping.
  • Pick up and deliver guest request items in a timely manner and calling them in as complete once they have been delivered.
  • Report to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, and following company appearance standards.
  • Consistently maintain a positive, friendly, helpful attitude that ensures a positive guest experience.
  • Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and transport to the laundry collection site.
  • Work as a house or room attendant when staffing shortages occur or during peak periods.
  • Respond appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
