About The Position

The Housekeeping Room Attendant at Palette Hotels LLC is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms in the Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham El Paso. This role involves following specific cleaning procedures, ensuring guest satisfaction, and reporting any issues to supervisors. The position requires a service-oriented attitude and effective communication skills, with on-the-job training provided for those without prior experience.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must submit to a background check
• Must submit to a drug test
• Service orientation with knowledge of customer service principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and understand directions on cleaning chemicals
• Ability to use chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtain room assignments from your Supervisor at the beginning of the shift
• Check your cart to ensure it is correctly stocked
• Know the correct procedure for entering a guest room
• Move your cart across the opening of the room door with the open side facing the room
• Follow a set pattern of steps for daily cleaning of occupied and check-out rooms
• Check room for damages to furniture and equipment
• Report all damage and missing items to your Supervisor immediately
• Return any found items to Lost and Found with necessary details
• Conduct a final inspection of the room before leaving
• Notify Housekeeping that the room is clean and whether it is occupied or vacant
• Restock your cart, remove trash and dirty linen at the end of the shift
• Respond to guest questions and provide assistance as needed
• Report suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions to Safety/Security
• Provide guidance for guest and employee safety in emergencies
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor
