About The Position

The Room Attendant (RA) at Sonesta ES Suites Albuquerque is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves working closely with the Housekeeping Management Team to meet brand standards and respond to guest needs effectively.

Requirements

  • 1 year of housekeeping experience required.
  • Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility.
  • Ability to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
  • Availability to work mornings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
  • Respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied.
  • Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures.
  • Monitor laundry supplies and equipment when assigned to laundry, ensuring they are sufficient and in working order.
  • Operate washers and dryers according to hotel standards and manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Inspect soiled linens for damage or stains and fold/store clean linens, reporting damages to supervisor.
  • Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within all areas of housekeeping.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
  • Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Handle all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.
