About The Position

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and appealing guest rooms in accordance with the hotel's standards. This role focuses on providing outstanding guest services and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. The position offers opportunities for training and growth within the company.

Requirements

• Janitorial experience
• Customer service skills
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of cleaning experience
• 1 year of hotel experience (preferred)
• Time management skills

Responsibilities

• Change bed linen daily.
• Vacuum carpeting.
• Dust all furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, and TVs.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, and windows.
• Thoroughly clean the bathroom area including the shower stall, sink, floor, and toilet.
• Ensure compliance with standard room set-up.
• Report any damage found in a room immediately.
• Report missing items in rooms immediately.
• Notify the Executive Housekeeper of personal guest items found in vacant rooms.
• Inform the Executive Housekeeper of all rollaways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.
• Take responsibility for the pass key and ensure it is turned in daily.
• Turn in all 'lost and found' items to the Executive Housekeeper immediately.
• Report to the Executive Housekeeper about no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests, or anything unusual.
• Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving the room.
• Assist the housekeeper with any additional cleaning chores assigned.
• Perform any other duties inherent to the position as requested by corporate or supervisor.
