About The Position

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping - Public Areas professional, where your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests. This is a part-time position that requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and reliability
  • Able to understand and communicate housekeeping and maintenance needs for the area.
  • Able to communicate any necessary information to supervisor and staff relating to guest issues
  • In order to perform the duties and requirements for this job, you must have the following physical abilities:
  • Constant – walking, standing and repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs
  • Frequent – bending, squatting, climbing stairs and step ladders, kneeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below shoulder level.
  • Occasional – bending and twisting of neck, crawling, power grasping
  • You must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop and reach; lift and carry equipment and supplies such as vacuum, caddy holder, full laundry bags, towels and linens; constantly walk and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; walking over uneven ground, across 5 acres and up and down stairs with or without reasonable accommodation. There is exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, and wetness as well as dust, chemicals, and fumes. Will work around elevated temperatures and loud noises made by the washing machines. See, read printed material, and room numbers with or without vision aid. Hear and understand speech at normal levels. Working at a hotel laundry requires flexibility in schedule as it may require work at unusual hours.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other communal spaces
  • Ensure all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures are spotless and well-maintained
  • Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning materials as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
  • Follow safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
