About The Position

The Housekeeping Porter is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the casino to enhance the guest experience by adhering to company policies and procedures. This role involves various cleaning tasks and requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Be able to work independently
• One year previous porter experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment preferred
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs
• Be able to stoop, bend, reach and pull
• Be able to continuously maneuver around casino floor
• Be able to stand and walk for entire shift

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, chairs, flat surfaces, ash trays and urns
• Maintain all floors by vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and removing spills, gum and debris
• Clean all wood and glass surfaces, pictures, doors, chandeliers, walls, decorations, mirrors, television sets, signs
• Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment
• Deep clean all surfaces and fixtures in restrooms
• Stock all supply closets
• Vacuum gaming tables
• Clean surfaces and floors in offices and cage
• Remove all trash and hazardous waste to proper receptacles
• Communicate by two-way radio when needed
• Report maintenance concerns to supervisor
• According to periodic maintenance schedule, strip, wax, and buff floors, shampoo and extract carpets
• According to periodic maintenance schedule, clean high vents, lights and ceilings
• All other duties that may be assigned
