About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure compliance with guest service, quality, and sustainability standards. This role involves managing staff performance, maintaining cleanliness and safety in guest areas, and ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year previous housekeeping supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand standards.
  • Monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and safety.
  • Address inquiries regarding hotel policies and resolve guest complaints.
  • Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates.
  • Take inventory and submit periodic orders for supplies.
  • Prepare required paperwork for departmental functions.
  • Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement in satisfaction.
  • Maintain departmental expenses in line with the budget set by the General Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and sustainability guidelines.
  • Practice safe work habits and participate in safety committees.
