What you will have an opportunity to do: The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, orderly, and guest-ready environment throughout the hotel. This role leads and develops the housekeeping team, maintains brand standards, and ensures exceptional guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of hotel cleaning standards and procedures
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems is a plus
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public areas, and laundry (if applicable)
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met
  • Ensure rooms are turned over efficiently to support front desk and occupancy needs
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and service recovery situations
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff (room attendants, housepersons, supervisors)
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest room amenities
  • Monitor departmental expenses and work within budget guidelines
  • Partner with vendors and purchasing to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain OSHA guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
  • Support loss prevention and security protocols within the department
  • Prepare schedules based on occupancy forecasts
  • Maintain accurate records (inspections, payroll, inventory, maintenance issues)
  • Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to ensure seamless operations
