The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department's operations, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines while maintaining high-quality guest care. This role involves staffing, scheduling, training, and developing the housekeeping team to achieve optimal performance and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in housekeeping management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
  • Budgeting and inventory management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department
  • Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction
  • Supervise all housekeeping employees, hire new employees as needed, discharge employees when necessary, and take disciplinary actions when policies are not followed
  • Purchase, re-order, and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory
  • Ensure knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the Housekeeping department
  • Prepare the Annual Housekeeping Budget
