About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the housekeeping, laundry, dry-cleaning, and uniform room departments to ensure the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for the training of new staff and on-going training for existing staff and supervisors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 years' management experience in housekeeping, supervising 20+ associates.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly, and multitask.
• Working knowledge of room management systems.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Capable of using independent judgment and solid decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of urgency and responsibility.
• Proficiency with general office equipment.
• Sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department including appropriate cleaning of all washrooms, guest rooms, town homes, executive homes, and all public spaces.
• Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
• Supervise the supervisors and housekeeping staff on a daily basis.
• Supervise the housekeeping grounds keeping staff daily.
• Schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
• Ensure knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the Housekeeping department.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; make arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
• Conduct pre-arrival inspections of all rooms, townhouses, executive homes, and public areas.
