The ideal candidate will have: Ability to push, pull and/or hold heavy commercial equipment with forces up to 50lbs-100lbs, stand for long periods of time. Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions. A Machine Operator is responsible for deep clean maintenance of window treatments, upholstered items, carpeted surfaces and tile floors of guest rooms and common areas. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Use various cleaning techniques and heavy equipment to clean soiled carpets and upholstery. Requires continuous lifting, bending, scrubbing and stooping. Vacuum carpet/upholstery prior to cleaning. Post safety signs in areas to be cleaned. Remove stains and debris such as gum and repair cigarette burns in carpets and upholstery to maintain neat and clean appearance. Use brushes, cloths and prescribed chemical agents for proper cleaning of surfaces. Clean and maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working order. Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull and/or hold heavy commercial equipment with forces up to 50lbs-100lbs, stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
  • Knowledge of stain removal and chemical cleaning agents and operation of different industrial shampooing equipment.
  • Ability to learn and apply hazardous chemical standards during the new hire introductory period.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the cleaning of upholstered items, carpet and/or window treatments preferred.
